Experience the Segway glide!

In 2001 Dean Kamen invented something special. With a slight lean forward or back or side to side the machine glides immediately and effortlessly in that direction as if controlled by thought alone.

Drank the Kool-aid. Bought an early model. Made a tabletop display for Segway of Westbrook expecting to interest the marketing department of Segway corporate in New Hampshire at the time. NaDa! As of 2015 the company is Chinese-owned.

Current appraisal: Kind of a one joke wonder with little practical use as personal transportation. But to carry you and your golf clubs around a hilly course … lots of fun!
